The Trailhead
For children entering 3rd-5th grades.
A high energy camp where a range of activities, teaching methods and small groups are designed to envelop young campers in God’s love. Wherever a child is in their spiritual development, they are encouraged to explore the teachings of the Gospel and take the next step.
Each day we will build on a single theme
Each day’s expression of this theme, is taught in multiple learning languages. Some things about the Gospel are communicated with children visually in skits or illustrations, others through small group discussions, singing and games which together help young campers connect with the truth of God’s Good News! Plenty of structured activities keep everyone engaged. From fun like flour war teams, a themed banquet, air guitar contests, to practical matters like caring for the cabins and land with camp clean up.
A low ratio of staff to campers (1 to 10) ensures a safe and memorable experience for young campers away from home.
Learning in the morning is followed by outdoor activities
Mornings: We start the day with an engaging and fun morning watch by Baron Lake. Followed by a delicious breakfast and camp stewardship time. We will then bust into morning activities like a hike on the Crag Crest Trail or game stations.
Afternoons: Free time and organized activities
– Crafts – make something!
– Outdoor activities like boating, kickball, volleyball
– Skits/Talent show
– Missionary Presentations
Evenings: A delicious supper is followed by evening worship services and campfires where we sing fun songs, do some worship and counselors share testimonials. Overhead the starry skies are fantastic!
Wrapping up the Christian church camp experience is the final Chapel . Parents and drivers are welcome to attend. Contact the deans for times.
